Buying tools on this site Introduction to PayPal This site uses the secure payment facilities and shopping cart system provided PayPal. For those who have not yet used PayPal the way it works as follows. When a visitor wishes to buy a tool (or tools) they click on the 'Add to Cart' button. The item is added to the list of items in the cart which displays the price of each item and the total value. If more than one of any particular item is required the number can be changed. Items can also be deleted or, if desired, all transactions can be cancelled. At any stage when browsing the shop the visitor can hit a 'View Cart' button to see the contents of the cart. From the Cart the visitors can return to the shop or go to the checkout. At the checkout they are presented with the payment details. These show the total value of the items chosen. Shoppers are then prompted either, to login to their PayPal account or, if they are non-members, to create an account. The latter requires name and address, credit card number, telephone number, and the creation of a PayPal password. This should not take longer than a couple of minutes or so. Payments can be made from sums deposited in the vistor's PayPal account or directly by credit card. Visitors from the European Union who have difficulty in entering their details when attempting to create an account may find the this additional information of help. These details are transmitted over a secure connection. Before entering them the sender should check that the address on the page starts with https://www.paypal.com and that the closed padlock sign is shown in IE. Having completed this form the visitor is then taken to a confirmation page containing details of the items ordered, the shipping charge, and confirmation of the shipping address. When the visitor is satisfied that all is correct he/she clicks the 'Pay' button to complete the payment. It should be noted that the visitor enters no commitment until the 'Pay' button is clicked. After doing this the visitor will be presented with a page setting out the details of the transaction and Ashley Iles customer service e-mail address. The orders will be sent directly to Ashley Iles who will process the order and despatch the goods. Subsequently the visitor will receive an e-mail receipt for the transaction. Shipping and handling chargesAshley Iles have two flat rate charges for shipping. These are 11% of the total price of the items ordered for delivery to addresses in the UK and 15% for items ordered for delivery in the rest of the world.Because of these different delivery charges visitors should ensure that they have entered the correct area of the store. Entry to the wrong area may result in a delay in the processing of orders. |
